Elizabeth Schaeffer
Elizabeth Schaeffer

Known for versatile styles in writing books, Elizabeth Schaeffer can write both professionally and simply for the pleasure of writing. Among those that are product of her creative mind range from professional papers on medieval art to a newspaper series on wildflowers and weeds. What inspired the author to write her books now is her interest to read mystery-themed books combined with love and romance, which she couldn’t find.

One of the honoring accomplishments she had was when her Master’s thesis was accepted into the J.P. Morgan Library Collection on Medieval Art in the same collection holding the original manuscript. She as well authored a book on the plants brought to this country by the early settlers, Dandelion, Pokeweed, and Goosefoot. The book describes the various plants used by the early country immigrants as food and medicine, recipes, and the instructions for making a garden, pressing plants, and dyeing cloth. The essence of the book was embraced by the right audience as it went through a variety of printings in both hardcover and paperback and stays available on Amazon even after 40 years.

Another masterpiece the author has written is The Skein, a story revolving around a witty, intelligent woman in post-World War II named Lady Anne Riddecoombe, woman forced into unwanted marriage life. She sees life as a skein of relationships, motives, and emotions with the power to connect or separate.

While The Skein is the author’s first fiction novel, actions are continued to her stand-alone sequel The Renaissance of the Skein. Elizabeth Schaeffer makes sure that the themes of mystery and suspense of this book stays bolder and more captivating. Here, the plot gets even darker and the action continues to heighten.

Elizabeth Schaeffer currently lives in New Hampshire. She has worked in academic writing and editing for many years and is now enjoying semi-retirement and the time to write her favorite kind of writing—the book you have in your hand—mystery, suspense, and romance.
