Line Editing - $0.025/word

This style of editing reviews the use of language in the manuscript. Line Editing determines whether or not the language is used effectively for readers to easily comprehend and receive the full impact of each scene. The proper use of language heavily influences the way your story is received by readers, hence, mastering your storytelling skills is crucial.

Line editing corrects:

  • Repeated words and sentences
  • Run-on lines
  • Unnecessary repetition of facts
  • Weak dialogues or paragraphs
  • Wrong use of transitions
  • Inconsistent style and tone

Content Editing - $0.035/word

This style of editing involves reconstruction of the manuscript’s body. This may include rewriting of major parts of the content, rearrangements of scenes, changes on characters. The editor will point factual inaccuracies in the plot and mistakes in the story progression. This type of editing requires further inspection on all areas of the story.

Content editing corrects:

  • Inconsistencies on Facts
  • Inconsistencies on scenes and character traits
  • Facts that may need approval from an outside source.
  • Word and diction errors.

Content Editing Categories:

  • For fiction titles, the editor will focus on checking for consistency of plot details, characters, and setting.
  • For nonfiction titles, the editor will focus on maintaining consistency of information and ideas and accuracy of factual assertions.

Developmental Editing - $0.060/word

With Developmental Editing, the editor will assess all areas of your story and will give remarks on general storyline, characters, and overall writing style. This type of editing determines which aspects and elements of your plot needs improvement. The main point is to develop the initial idea of your book further into a more comprehensive and creative read. This is the most extensive type of editing as it will touch base on the core message of your story.

Developmental Editing Categories:

  • For fiction works, the editor will analyze the readership and genre to determine whether the content is appropriate. Then, things such as plot, pace, characterization, and dialogue will be closely examined.
  • For nonfiction titles, the editor will analyze the possible uses of the work to determine that the content is complete and appropriate, concepts are developed adequately, factual assertions are accurate and the material is well-organized. The editor will make sure that all lists, graphs, and illustrations are used effectively throughout the book

Limitations

Author can only avail an Advanced Editorial Service if his/her book is still the production stage. The service is not applicable if the author’s book has already been printed or out for distribution.

  • There will only be 1 FREE Revision
  • After the 1st Revision, Standard Rate will apply.
  • It is important to ensure that all corrections are sent back to us in one communication. Subsequent corrections will be charged and standard rates will apply. Please ensure to inform the author to send complete corrections in one communication.

How It Works:

  2. We will forward the manuscript to the professional editor.
  3. After editing, the professional editor will forward the initial edited manuscript. You can approve or reject the parts that have been modified on the original manuscript.
    • Note:All corrections must be sent back in one communication. Subsequent corrections will be charged and standard rates will apply.
  4. You have to give your approval on the final and edited manuscript.
  5. We will send you an approval form to confirm that the Extensive Editorial Service has been fulfilled
