Nowadays, it seems that more and more authors are delving into writing religious stuffs. I think Purpose Driven Life by Rick Warren started it all. Are you affiliated with some religious organization?
No I am not affiliated with an organization. I actually have wanted to write all my life and because I spent much time being a mother, wife, and business owner, it hasn't been easy to fulfill this desire. Today I am able to begin the writing process. I belong to no religion, although for years I have considered myself christian. I don't believe that in the spiritual realm souls are identified by religion or race or even gender. All of God's creation are co-creators and God is within, the Kingdom of God is within. I am a direct descendent of Ralph Waldo Emerson and yet I am what I am in my own identity. I have such a loving desire to help all people believe they are as important as anyone else. So I don't rely on my descendent's name but only share with you if you would need some identity. The truth is you are as important as anyone else and although I don't know you, you are God's co-creator, come to earth to fulfill a purpose you have specifically wanted to fulfill. The problem that all humans encounter is we forget who we are in the spiritual realm, when we arrive here. The truth is you are a spiritual being that sent a part of yourself in this lifetime of yours to fulfill a need to learn and grow so that you can help God and in turn have the ability to come closer to Him in Christ Consiousness. I would love to answer any questions.
Your book is quite a catch, especially to those who are religiously passionate. How do you deal with an audience who impress protest on your views?
You are right in that there will be protest. I remember when my relative Ralph Waldo Emerson wrote of ideas that were protested greatly in his time. His ideas today are alive and well and maybe not all just the way he thought but I believe that the seeds he left transcended into greater truth. His seeds of thought gave us an avenue to grow, to think beyond, and then to see the truth that God wants us to see. The religious world wants to control the people to think according to their individual beliefs. But God allows religion so that we have avenues to use in which we can walk according to our own free will choices. However, when we grow in any area of life, whether political, religious, or whatever, our growth should not stop at one thought or idea but God longs for us to become greater than any one thought. If religion contains all there is to God's great and magnificent truths, then which religion is the right one. I attempt to bring all people to understand that they are more than religion and God wants religion to help us believe we are more than a particular belief. It is God's desire we each take our free will to grow from whatever path we choose and then grow beyond, drawing closer to God. God loves all of His creation and it breaks His heart to see us get stuck in one area when His desire is that we learn from everything and continually transcend. We each have a choice on earth to either take one road and try to stay on it all our lives, or to take each road and allow them to help us see more of the wonderful Creator that longs to love us more than anything. God didn't create religion but man did. Religion is an avenue in which we can grow from and draw close to one another. To deal with the audience that protests my views, I simply want them to know that for us to differ is part of God's plan. When we differ we have the opportunity to grow and eventually we will see that our differences are not for argument but are for expanding ones awareness. I am not here to convince anyone to believe my way, but I just ask to use my thoughts to develop your thoughts and to expand your awareness that there might be more than you currently understand. For humanity to come together in love, we must first respect our differences and love each other no matter what. In the spiritual realm, a place we all return to, there is no religion. In fact they observe how when a spiritual being is human, they get caught in arguments far too much and loose out on the joy of their oneness, loose out on the joy of living on earth. WE are all God's spiritual beings and if we could see that, if we could see that our differences are only to help us expand our awareness and grow and relook at things, then we would love each other unconditionally and that alone would heal our differences. When we don't focus on what we differ from and we focus on what we are alike, then we find great love and that love has the potential to grow beyond anything we can even imagine. It is my hope that I can help some find that great love and joy while still on earth.
Many who are passionately living their religion, I respect them, for this is the path they are one. I have been there and I lived in a very strict religion for 26 years but I have seen beyond and it is my passion to help anyone who wants to move beyond, or even to look beyond.
Hi vkress! Thanks for actively participating on our discussions. Do you have plans to publish through Christian publications? Thomas Nelson perhaps?
