Short Stories?
After having 13 books published, including 2 novels, I've just written my first short story.
I know little or nothing about this market.
Any suggestions as to where I might submit it?
I'm talking, of course, about a publisher (either print or on-line) that pays a fee.
Thanks.
To answer your question(s), I've been writing for 35+ years.
I decided to try my hand at a short story because I didn't feel like starting a bigger writing job at the moment, and I'd been carrying this story around in my head for years.
I enjoyed the experience, and I may do some more.
Hi Druxy. Thanks for replying on my questions. Do you have an official website where i can view all your books? I'd like to browse your site some time this week. I feel like checking out author sites these days. I hope to have one soon. Well, hopefully.
Hi Druxy! Wow, you've published 13 books! How did you do that? Anyway, i was just curious, why did you decided to shift to writing short stories? How long have you been writing?

Hi Druxy,
Here's a list on where you can submit your short stories:
Glimmer Train Press, Inc.
Publishes short stories up to 20,000 words, including flash fiction.
Typical pay: $15-$20.
They also give you a chance to win cash prizes up to $2000.
Cave Magazine
There is $2 for online submissions. But Carve pays $20 to $50 for short stories.
One Story (online literary magazine)
Pays $100 and 15 contributors copies for first North American serial rights for stories between 3,000 and 8,000 words.
Spinetingler (online magazine)
Accepts short stories that are typically 1,500 to 6,000 words in length. All submissions are made via email. They pay $25 for every published story.
I hope you find my suggestions helpful. If you have other questions, please don't hesitate to ask.
Sincerely,
